NW resumes Twin Cities-Vancouver service

When an airline wants to promote a route, it cuts fares, boosts bonus frequent flier points, or both. Northwest Airlines has chosen to shine a spotlight on the resumption of nonstop Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) to Vancouver (YVR) flights by throwing in 1,000 WorldPerks Bonus Miles.
Fly round-trip between October 1 and December 20, and fatten your WorldPerks account accordingly.
First, of course, you have to be a WorldPerks member and you have to register specifically for the promotion. Enroll in WorldPerks by going to nwa.com/worldperks/enroll or call 1-800-225-2525. There's no cost.
Vancouver is one of the most sublime cities in North America - sea, mountains, and sophistication. The place is especially popular in the summertime, when cruise ships embark up the Pacific Coast.
Northwest's timing of the fall and early winter Vancouver promotion lets you visit the city in the off-peak season - fewer crowds, better chances of getting seated at your favorite restaurant, and a more laid-back pace in general.
Northwest offers extensive connections to and from Vancouver via its Minneapolis/St. Paul hub.
