In-flight laptops impolite?
The possibility of onboard Internet service has added to the debate about airline etiquette. USA Today reports that the growing popularity of laptop computers, thanks to huge price cuts from PC manufacturers, could create problems for passengers.
Michael Steiner, of New York travel agency Ovation Travel, told the newspaper: "You are in tight quarters. There's not a lot to look at. Sometimes it's tough to keep your eyes from wandering."
However, as Jenny Dervin, a JetBlue Spokesperson confirmed, a sidelong glance at a fellow passenger's screen could result in seeing something offensive.
Dervin added that the airline tried to offer seat reassignments in these instances, or attempted to find a "mutually agreeable solution".
JetBlue recently confirmed that it intends to begin testing in-flight broadband early next year.
