Midwest adds flights to Philadelphia, Omaha

Midwest Airlines is to increase its services between Milwaukee, and both Philadelphia and Omaha. Using 50-seat Midwest Connect regional jets, the flights take each market to five round-trip journeys per weekday, and are set to begin on October 1.

The airline also confirmed that one additional round-trip flight between Milwaukee and Omaha will be upgraded from a 32-seat regional jet to a 50-seat aircraft.

The additional flights are part of Midwest's 2007 strategic plan, and will supply passengers with chef-prepared buy-onboard Best Care Cuisine meals, and baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies.

Midwest Airlines was this week named the best airline for customer satisfaction, following a survey of more than 35,000 people.

The Market Metrix Hospitality Index rated Midwest higher than its low-cost competitors. JetBlue and Hawaiian Airlines tied for second, Frontier Airlines named fourth best, and Southwest Airlines finishing fifth.
