US Airways, MasterCard offer discounts

US Airways and MasterCard have joined forces to offer a 5 percent discount on summer air travel.

Customers reserving a US Airways flight at www.usairways.com/mcbeach, and paying with a MasterCard, will receive the discounts for 22 beach destinations throughout Mexico and the Caribbean.

Flights must be booked by September 30, for travel between September 1, and November 14, with 5,000 Dividend Miles also on offer.

Kevin Jackson, Managing Director of Consumer and Partnership Marketing for US Airways, said: "Customers can find amazing deals on some of the best hotels on the beach after Labor Day. When combined with our low air fares and the additional discount from MasterCard, customers can build a vacation that's not only affordable but memorable.

"They'll also earn more miles to get them closer to their next free trip."

Jackson was echoed by TJ Sharkey, MasterCard's Senior Vice-President of US Merchant sales, who commented: "Our beach vacation promotion with US Airways allows cardholders to use their MasterCard card to reward themselves with a discounted tropical vacation while also earning valuable Dividend Miles.

"Teaming up with US Airways provides us with a great opportunity to say 'thank you' to cardholders, by offering valuable benefits to those who choose to pay using their MasterCard card."
