US Airways in codesharing operation to Singapore

Passengers are now able to reach Singapore from Las Vegas and Phoenix as part of a codesharing operation between US Airways and Singapore Airlines. Launched yesterday, the new service offers fliers connections at either Los Angeles or San Francisco.

Customers will also be able to take advantage of nonstop routes from Los Angeles to Singapore, and the one-stop service from San Francisco, which stops at Hong Kong.

The once-daily service from Los Angeles to Singapore leaves at 9:15pm, while the San Francisco to Singapore route departs daily at 1:20am.

Andrew Nocella, US Airways' Senior Vice-President of Schedule Planning and Alliances, said: "We're delighted to offer Singapore Airlines' customers access to our hub cities of Las Vegas and Phoenix, with easy connections to 90 destinations throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico through US Airways' extensive route network."

Passengers will also be able to use the connection service to travel to European cities Manchester, Amsterdam and Zurich with Singapore Airlines.
