They think so much of the late Charles M. Schulz up in Sonoma County that they named the airport after the Peanuts creator. It’s a great jumping-off place for wine-tasting forays deep into California’s fabled wine country. Now comes word that Horizon Air is boosting seasonal service to Snoopy’s favorite airfield otherwise known as the Charles M. Schulz/Sonoma County Airport (STS).

April 6 through October 26 the high-frills regional carrier will offer a pair of daily nonstops to the airport from Seattle Tacoma (SEA). Sea-Tac is Horizon’s primary base, and Alaska Airlines’ major hub. That makes for lots of connection opportunities.

Horizon also flies up from the south to Sonoma – nonstop from Los Angeles International (LAX).

All flights into STS are via the carrier’s 76-seat Q400 propjets.
