New York-Toronto flights from Porter Airlines

Toronto-based carrier Porter Airlines will launch seven daily flights between Canada and New York.

The service will commence on March 31, and connect Toronto City Centre Airport with Newark Liberty. There will be two round-trips on Saturdays and three on Sundays.

Passengers will be able to fly from Porter Airlines' own terminal in Toronto where the carrier has a designated lounge complete with wireless Internet access and a business center.

Don Carty, Chairman of Porter Airlines, said: "Porter's vision of becoming North America's most innovative short-haul carrier is more of a reality with the announcement of our Toronto-New York route.

"We recognized a need for time-sensitive urban travelers to move quickly and comfortably between the New York City metro area and downtown Toronto and are now acting to fulfill that need."

Tickets went on sale on Friday (February 1) and prices start from around $120 (U.S.) one-way (excluding taxes).
