Eos takes off 10 percent out of EWR
Upscale Eos Airlines is discounting its product out of Newark Liberty International (EWR). On an introductory basis, the high-frills carrier is selling seats at 10 percent off any one of its published fares between Newark and London Stansted (STN).
EWR–London Stansted service gets off the ground on May 5, and this is a way to induce flyers who may not have already used Eos’ New York Kennedy (JFK) to London Stansted service to try the carrier.
Here are the mechanics: book a round-trip ticket online between now and April 11. Enter the promotion code EWR10 and get 10 percent taken off the price of your seat.
Those seats are sumptuous – 6’ 6” fully horizontal lie-flat affairs fitted with all sorts of goodies.
Eos flies narrowbody 757s on both the JFK and Newark to London routes, but instead of the craft being fitted with the usual 180-plus seats, these come with just 48.
On the eastbound leg, the airplane is headed to one of London’s least crowded airports. Despite the fact Stansted is 34 miles north of the city, it’s connected to London via a comfortably quick rail link, the Stansted Express.
