New eats on Eos
Upscale Eos Airlines is rolling out a new menu, one it says, “is anything but your traditional airline fare”.
Indeed, on entering one of its specially fitted 757s bound for London Stansted (STN) you’ll be welcomed with a pomegranate vodka cocktail, garnished with lemongrass stick, and served with Japanese rice crackers.
After that come the canapés – feta zucchini rolls, grilled artichoke with pepperonata and the like.
Time for the main course? Try Eos’ Tenderloin Steak Sandwich, with a nice cabernet. Something that goes with a chardonnay such as Grilled Scallop and Crabcake Lollipops.
Should you still have room for dessert, there are blueberry tartlets, sweet cream curd cheese soufflé and coconut praline, or strawberry-mango parfait with crème fraîche.
Eos offers nonstop service from New York Kennedy (JFK) to uncrowded London Stansted (STN). It plans to start flights from Newark Liberty International to STN in May.
