Delta boosts Middle East service
Delta Air Lines has announced a new flight to Kuwait and increased frequency on its existing Dubai service.
The direct flight from Delta's Atlanta hub to Kuwait City will start on November 7, and take the number of Middle East destinations served by the airline up to six.
Flights already operate from Atlanta to Dubai and Tel Aviv and from New York's John F Kennedy Airport to Istanbul.
New flights to Cairo from JFK will start on June 5 with a direct flight to Amman added at New York the following day.
Further strength to Delta's Middle Eastern service will come in October with the addition of daily flights from Atlanta to Dubai. The flights were introduced in May at a frequency of five-times a week, recently rising to six.
Flights to Dubai will leave Atlanta at 9:05pm each day to arrive the following evening at 7:05pm. Return journeys leave the Middle East at 11:35pm for a 6:50pm arrival on the following day. All times are local.
The Kuwait service will run four times a week, leaving Atlanta at 9pm to arrive the following evening at 7:05pm. Return flights are to leave Kuwait at 11:30pm to touch down in Atlanta the next morning at 7am.
