Extra AA miles for carbon-offset products

American Airlines has partnered with the Green Mountain Energy Company to offer passengers the chance to earn extra AAdvantage miles.

Members of the frequent-flyer program who buy carbon offset products at the BeGreen online store will be awarded additional points.

For each dollar spent on offset items, flyers will receive four AAdvantage miles, with ten miles available for each dollar spent on goods in the Gift of Greens brand.

Gillan Taddune, Chief Environmental Officer of Green Mountain Energy Company, commented: "This is a practical way for people to make a difference by reducing the impact of that travel on the environment, and we are thrilled to participate with the American Airlines AAdvantage program to bring a carbon offset option to the millions of AAdvantage members worldwide."

To browse the BeGreen store and qualify for the promotion, AA customers will need to enter their AAdvantage number when visiting www.BeGreenNow.com.
