Midwest extends Northwest codeshare
Midwest Airlines has extended its code-share agreement with Northwest Airlines and will offer passengers flights to eight new destinations as a result.
The move will see nonstop flights offered from Indianapolis to Austin, Boston, and Denver, as well as the Florida destinations of Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers.
Midwest passengers will also be able to travel to Hartford, Raleigh/Durham and San Antonio from Indianapolis.
Scott R. Dickson, Midwest Airlines' Senior Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer, said: "In addition to offering travelers more options, the expansion of our code share with Northwest provides our customers the convenience of a single ticket transaction and the ability to earn miles in the awards program of their choice."
Nathaniel Pieper, Vice-President of Alliances at Northwest, added: "Indianapolis has long been an important focus market for Northwest Airlines so we are pleased to expand our growing partnership with Midwest and offer more convenience to our mutual customers."
Passengers will be able to book one ticket for their entire journey and members of both the Midwest Miles and Northwest WorldPerks programs will earn frequent-flyer points.
