United plans nonstop Dubai, Moscow flights
United Airlines has revealed that it plans to launch flights to Dubai and Moscow later this year.
Pending government approval, the carrier will roll out the two new services from its hub at Washington Dulles on October 26.
United hopes to use a Boeing 777 on the new Dubai flights which will leave Washington at 10:02pm (local time) to arrive in the United Arab Emirates at 6:50pm the following day.
Return services are scheduled to leave at 11:30pm to land in the U.S. at 6:44am the next morning.
Flights to Moscow will use a Boeing 767 and are expected to leave Washington Dulles at 4:45pm to arrive the following day at 9:30am. Return flights will leave the Russian city at 11:20am to touch down at 3:35pm. All times are local.
John Tague, Executive Vice-President and Chief Revenue Officer at the airline, said: "With these new routes, we are continuing to show discipline with our capacity deployment by targeting profitable growth opportunities."
