SuperShuttle saturates Long Island, Classic buy

Lots of Tri-State flyers live out on Long Island. Now, no matter where they are in that vast suburban swath of New York they can catch a SuperShuttle blue van to or from New York Kennedy (JFK), LaGuardia (LGA), Newark (EWR), or Islip (ISP) Airports.

What makes the move possible is SuperShuttle's purchase of Classic Shuttle of Long Island. With the buy come 35 vehicles. Classic will be folded into SuperShuttle operations in the New York area, as will Golden Touch Transportation. SuperShuttle acquired that company six weeks ago.

SuperShuttle almost invariably saves flyers money over cabs (even personal cars when you count parking) when they're commuting to and from airports. It's predicated on the shared-ride principle, and takes you door-to-door.

SuperShuttle has set up shop at 27 airports around the country and accommodates some eight million passengers per year.
