American offers miles for vacation packages

Customers of American Airlines Vacations now have the opportunity to earn up to 5,000 bonus miles by booking select holidays to destinations including the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii.

These packages combine airfare, hotels, rental cars, and activities at discounted negotiated rates.

During the program, customers who book a selected vacation package of four nights or longer by August 15 will earn 4,000 AAdvantage bonus miles.

If they book their vacation online at www.aavacations.com by August 15, they will earn an additional 1,000 miles for a total of 5,000 AAdvantage bonus miles.

Suzanne Rubin, President of American Airlines Vacations, explained: "Many of our customers like to plan their vacations toward the end of summer, after camps are over and right before school starts in the fall.

"So we're excited to be able to offer AAdvantage bonus miles in addition to a great selection of specially negotiated vacation packages to some of our most popular destinations during the same time."
