More frequent FlyAway bus service LA to LAX

With people across the country parking their cars and opting for mass transit, this story is no big surprise. The LAX FlyAway bus - from Union Station to Los Angeles International Airport - is bumping up service. It is now offering more frequent runs between downtown and the airport.

Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA) officials say FlyAway handled some 30 percent more passengers from January to June compared to the same period last year.

The added new morning frequencies offer better train-to-FlyAway bus connections for travelers using Metrolink and Amtrak trains to Union Station, then transferring to the nonstop FlyAway service out to the airport.

The ride costs $4 one-way; $2 for kids age two to 12. Children under two ride free. You'll find the FlyAway bus at Union Station's Patsaouras Transit Plaza Bus Stop 9. That's located on the east side of the station. For schedules and parking information for FlyAway locations visit www.lawa.org/flyaway.
