V Australia announces new route from LA

Australia's newest international airline, V Australia, has announced it will launch nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Brisbane, Australia, early next year.

The carrier will launch three flights per week from Los Angeles International (LAX) to the city on March 1.

Flights from LAX will run on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with departures scheduled for 10:30pm to arrive two days later at 6:55am (local time). On the return journey, flights will leave Brisbane at 11:35am to arrive in LA at 7:00am on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Scott Swift, Executive General Manager of V Australia, said, "We are excited to be linking the city of LA directly with Brisbane city, the second Australian destination to be added to the V Australia network.

"This will be tremendous for U.S. travelers keen to experience tropical Queensland."

The Los Angeles-Brisbane service is the second route to be announced by V Australia, which will take off on its inaugural flight between Los Angeles and Sydney on December 15.
