Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Plans Pet Hotel
Pet owners in Dallas may soon have reason to bring their pets to the airport. The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is planning a pet hotel and resort to help keep busy travelers connected to their furry friends a little closer to boarding.
The pet facility, which will be located on the north side of the airport, will charge $18 to $35 a day for boarding, pet daycare and grooming services.
Part of the proposal calls for a second location to eventually be added at the south end of the airport, according to the Dallas Morning News. The Dallas/Fort Worth pet hotel will be a 24/7 operation complete with webcams so pet owners can login and check up on their pets online.
The Dallas airport plans to begin construction next spring. Airport pet hotels and kennels can currently be found at airports in Jacksonville, Fla., New Orleans, Houston airports (George Bush Intercontinental and William P. Hobby), Atlanta and Charlotte, N.C.
