East Coast flights ending at San Jose airport
Mineta San Jose International Airport is losing three more flights to the East Coast, leaving only one transcontinental nonstop service.
In the first two weeks of September, JetBlue will end its Boston flight, Continental will no longer fly to Newark, and United will terminate its Washington, D.C. flight, The Mercury News reports.
After these cuts, the only nonstop service from San Jose to the East Coast will be JetBlue's flight to New York.
The airport is trying to hold onto its remaining services by lowering airlines' terminal rates and other charges by $2.2 million.
