Mexicana Flies San Francisco-Puerto Vallarta Route
From the “Build It and They Will Come” file there's this. Mexico's new Riviera Nayarit is attracting a slew of West Coast travelers and the best way to get there is via Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) (Web site: aeropuertosgap.com.mx). The airfield is about a 15-minute ride away. To that end, Mexicana intends to launch a quartet of weekly nonstops between Puerto Vallarta and San Francisco come December 3.
This will make for a pair of carriers on the route. Alaska Airlines already offers nonstop San Francisco-Puerto Vallarta flights.
Mexicana's new nonstops will operate four times per week - Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in each direction.
