United Airlines Stops Free Snacks on Select Routes

United Airlines is to stop serving free snacks in coach class on board some of its international routes, making it the first carrier to do so.

As of September 2, passengers in coach class on North American flights of two to three hours will have to buy snacks on board.

Meanwhile, as of October 1, United will raise prices for fresh items sold during flights from $7 to $9, and the cost of non-perishable foods will increase from $5 to $6.

In addition, the airline is dropping complimentary meals in Business-Class cabins on domestic flights as of October 1.

As of September people should just stop flying United airlines until they start treating their customers with respect. We pay them to take us from point A to point B. Raise the ticket prive to cover fuel, extra baggage, pillows, food, snacks and drinks on the plane. United: don't nickle and dime your customers. Your customers are your bread and butter. If your keep taking everything away you will soon go out of business, you will have no flying public and no employees. You have already reduced their pay and retirement.
