Final Muskegon Flight for Midwest Airlines
Midwest Airlines has ended services at Muskegon County Airport (Web site: www.muskegonairport.com), after operating at the airport for more than 20 years.
The carrier used to operate two daily flights to Milwaukee, Michigan, from where passengers could continue to other destinations, Wzzm13 News reports.
With Midwest's departure, only Northwest Airlines will be operating at Muskegon, but airport authorities hope that will not be the case for long, the local new provider says.
The Federal Transportation Commission is expected to announce funds for Muskegon which will guarantee an airline will be profitable if they add service.
