Flights Resume at Joplin Airport’s New Terminal
Commercial flights have resumed at the new terminal at Joplin Regional Airport (Web site: www.jlnairport.com).
The first flight to land at the airport was a Great Lakes Airlines service from Kansas City, which arrived at 9:28am yesterday (Sunday, September 7).
The new $15 million terminal is designed with a curved glass front, stone and brick, The Joplin Globe reports.
Offices, a conference room, and a training center that opens to an open-air deck facing the runways makes the upstairs area, which also has a business center for working travelers. The 22,000-square-foot terminal will also have rental car companies, vending machines and seating.
