JetBlue Cuts Nonstop Syracuse to Fort Lauderdale Flights
Fuel prices have killed off another route, this one a leisure run from Syracuse (Web site: www.syrairport.org) (SYR) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL). Discount airline JetBlue is the carrier, and the last flight out will be January 5, 2009. According to Official Airline Guide (OAG) (Web site: www.oag.com), JetBlue is the only carrier offering nonstop service on the route, with an Embraer 190 regional jet.
How to cope: the best bet is to fly JetBlue from Syracuse to its New York Kennedy (JFK) hub. From there, you can connect to the discount airline’s nonstop flights to Fort Lauderdale.
