Spirit Airlines' Cartagena Flights May Be Reduced
Spirit Airlines may cancel its three daily flights between Fort Lauderdale and Cartagena, after disagreements with Colombia's aviation agency.
The conflicts are over surcharges on tickets purchased over the Internet and taxes on flights outside of Colombia have added to the controversy, reports El Tiempo.
Juan Arbelaez, Director of Communications and Business for Spirit in Latin America, was quoted by the newspaper as saying: "We feel discriminated against."
Last month, a new service between Canada and Cartagena took to the skies.
