Aeromexico Ends Flights from Tucson Airport
Mexican carrier Aeromexico has ended its nonstop services from Hermosillo to Tucson International Airport (TUS), leaving the airport without any international flights.
The last inbound flight will be on Saturday, October 11, the same day the new terminal for international flights opens at Tucson Airport, the Arizona Daily Star reports.
Roger Wheaton, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Port Director at the airport, told the newspaper: "I'm disappointed, I hate to see to see the flights go. Tucson is too big of a market not to have at least one commercial flight south."
The last outbound service from Tucson to Hermosillo was October 1.
