AirTran Airways To Offer Atlanta-Cancun Flights

If you want to get from Atlanta to Cancun nonstop just now it’s Delta Air Lines solo, or Delta in conjunction with an Aeromexico code-share. That’s it. Beginning early next year, you’ll have another option.

Discount airline AirTran Airways says it plans to launch daily nonstop service on the route on February 25, 2009. The southbound flight is scheduled to depart Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL) at 10am and get to Cancun at 11:30am. The return northbound trip pushes back from the gate in Cancun at 12:15pm, and arrives ATL at 3:50pm – in time for good connections to a number of AirTran flights.
