British Airways to Move Atlanta Flights to Heathrow Airport
British Airways (BA) has announced that it is moving its flights from Atlanta to London from Gatwick Airport to Heathrow Airport.
The move to Heathrow is a result of the Open Skies agreement signed last March between the U.S. and the European Union.
Atlanta passengers will now arrive, depart or connect through Heathrow's new Terminal 5, which boasts a slew of shops and restaurants, as well as Galleries Lounges for premium customers.
BA operates a daily evening flight from Atlanta-Hartsfield International Airport to London that arrives the following morning. Return flights from London depart in the early afternoon and arrive back at Atlanta the same afternoon.
