Continental Airlines Starts Ithaca, Newark Flights

New flights by Continental Airlines have started between Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (Web site: www.flyithaca.com) and Newark.

The carrier will provide the four flights through CommutAir as part of Continental Connection to Newark, the Ithaca Journal reports.

Mary Clark, a spokeswoman for Continental, told the publication that the carrier has seen high demand from the Ithaca area to the New York City area and also many of its international destinations.

Meanwhile, Bob Nicholas, Airport Manager of Ithaca Tompkins, said in a statement: "With the addition of a third airline, this airport now links directly to four hub airports and gives one-stop access to hundreds of national and international destinations."
