Delta Air Lines Readies Atlanta-Kuwait Flights

Delta Air Lines is making the final preparations for its new service between Atlanta and Kuwait City.

The nonstop service from Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport to the capital of Kuwait will start on November 7.

Flights from Kuwait City to Atlanta will start the following day.

To mark its latest venture into the Middle East, Delta plans to open a ticket office in Kuwait City's impressive Baitak Tower. The office will be open from 8:30am to 7:30pm (local time) from Saturday to Thursday.

Jimmy Eichelgruen, Delta's Director of Sales for Africa, Middle East and India, said: "Our aim is to offer the best service for Delta customers in Kuwait and we are extremely pleased Delta will be based in such a prestigious new commercial building and mall, next to the Kuwait Communications Tower and in easy access of the centre of Kuwait City."

Four nonstop services a week will operate between the two destinations. Flight DL 158 to Kuwait City from Atlanta will depart at 9:35pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to arrive the next day at 6:50pm.

Services from Kuwait to Atlanta leave at 11:35pm on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to touch down in the U.S. at 7:05am the next day. A Monday flight will depart Kuwait at 12:10am to arrive in Atlanta at 7:40am on the same day. All times are local.
