Discount Airfare: Delta Air Lines’ Sale from Atlanta, Boston, New York
Delta Air Lines is putting seats on sale from a quartet of eastern airports: Atlanta (ATL), New York Kennedy (JFK), New York LaGuardia (LGA) and Boston (BOS). One-way rates start at $59, exclusive of taxes and fees.
Unlike a lot of discount airfare sales by major hub-and-spoke carriers, for this round of savings Delta doesn’t mandate a round-trip purchase. That affords flyers more flexibility.
Book and buy at the Web site (www.delta.com) no later than October 14. Then, fly on these discount airfares by January 30, 2009. There are blackout periods, and you’ll find them arrayed around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. While there’s no stayover attached to these tickets, you will have to purchase them at least ten days in advance.
