Hawaiian Airlines to Add 110 Interisland Flights Per Week

Hawaiian Airlines is to add 110 interisland round-trip flights from Honolulu by the end of the year, it has been announced.

In addition, the carrier is increasing its fleet by four Boeing 717 aircraft, and three are to follow in November, December, and January 2009.

Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian's President and Chief Executive, said: "We are committed to keeping passenger traffic moving between the islands as conveniently as possible and adding these four [jets] will allow us to provide our customers with more flight choices."

The new flights will depart Honolulu and will fly to Lihue, Kauai (40 new round-trip flights per week), Kahului, Maui (27 new round-trip flights per week), Kona, Hawaii (25 new round-trip flights per week), and Hilo, Hawaii (18 new round-trip flights per week).
