Horizon Air starts Q400 service at Pendleton

Horizon Air has announced the arrival of its new fleet of Q400 aircraft at Pendleton.

The 76-seat planes will operate on the carrier's route to Seattle until the service is withdrawn in December.

The new fleet replaces the previous 37-seat Q200s and features a number of improvements including larger overhead storage bins and accessible under-seat storage areas.

Passengers will be served complimentary Starbucks coffee onboard and baggage for any connecting flights at Seattle will be checked right through to the final destination.

However, Horizon will end service at Pendleton in December to be replaced by SeaPort following a new essential air service (EAS) award from the Department of Transportation.

Horizon will use the fleet on its flights to Seattle from the nearby airports of Walla Walla and Pasco.
