Philippines Airlines to Up Los Angeles, San Francisco Service

Philippines Airlines (PAL) (Web site: www.philippineairlines.com) is to increase flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco from later this month, it has been announced.

More than 1,300 weekly additional seats will be available on these extra flights over the Christmas holidays.

Jaime J Bautista, PAL president, commented: "The transpacific sector is PAL’s most important long-haul market and we are infusing extra capacity as well as upgraded service and equipment into it."

From October 26, PAL will add two extra services to its Los Angeles route, bringing the total number of flights per week to nine. From December 16 to January 15, 2009, this number will increase to 11 flights per week, before reverting to nine.

Meanwhile, the carrier will add two new services on the San Francisco route from December 21 to January 11, 2009, increasing total flights on the route to eight per week.
