Public Flights Available on Liberty Belle Aircraft
Public flights on the Liberty Belle, a World War II B-17 bomber aircraft (Web site: www.libertyfoundation.org), will be available at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on October 18 and 19.
Local news provider Kvue.com reports that the public flights will be operated between 10am and 5pm on those two days.
A pre-flight safety briefing will be given to passengers, who will also learn about the historical significance of the aircraft.
During the flight, the bomber can be moved to the different positions, giving passengers a chance to experience what was seen more than 60 years ago.
Lasting 45 minutes, the flights will cost $395 for Liberty Foundation members and $430 for non-members.
