Second carrier offers Mexico City flights from Salt Lake City
Soon there will be two carriers plying the Salt Lake City (SLC) - Mexico City (MEX) run: incumbent Delta Air Lines, and newcomer Aeromexico. Interestingly, both carriers are members of the SkyTeam alliance.
Delta already makes the SLC - MEX trip three times per week according to Official Airline Guide (OAG) (Web site: www.oag.com). DL flies the route Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Aeromexico will fly between the two cities twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays. Its flights take wing November 16.
Here's the schedule for Aeromexico's new flight. The southbound trip is scheduled to push back from the gate at SLC at 2:25 p.m. and gets to Mexico City at 7:20 p.m. The return leg leaves MEX at 10 a.m., and arrives SLC at 1:05 in the afternoon.
Aeromexico offers extensive connections form its hub at Mexico City's Benito Juarez International airport to Mexico, Latin America, and other international destinations.
The carrier will use a Boeing 737 twinjet on the run.
