SkyWest Airlines to Stop at Rock Springs on Way to Salt Lake City
SkyWest Airlines' (Web site: www.skywest.com) flights from Gillette-County Regional Airport (Web site: www.ccgov.net) to Salt Lake City will stop at Rock Springs, it has emerged.
Jay Lundell, Aiport Director, told the Gillette News Record that although nothing was official yet, the flights may start from November 1.
The addition of Rock Springs Airport (Web site: www.rockspringsairport.com) to the route is a result of low passenger demand, he said, and the move was necessary to keep the carrier in the region.
He said: "We're disappointed [ticket sales] are not doing as well, but we keep trying. We want to help our people fly out of Gillette."
