Washington Dulles Airport Opens Black Diamond Lanes

Consider yourself an experienced flyer, one who knows the drill by heart at the security checkpoint? You’ll want to know that Washington, DC Dulles International now sports a new “Black Diamond” TSA security checkpoint. It’s geared for frequent flyers.

You should be what TSA deems an “expert” traveler. That means something on the order of a couple of air trips per month. You should be traveling alone and have but a single carry-on. Of course, you need to be security-ready before hitting the Black Diamond lane. That means understanding the 3-1-1 rule for liquids and gels, making sure your laptop is out of its case (unless it’s in one of the new species of TSA-approved laptop-carrying cases), and making sure you’ve shed your shoes.

The new Black Diamond passage is downstairs at Dulles, on the Arrivals Level of the Main Terminal.
