AirTran Airways Adds Washington D.C. Services
AirTran Airways has announced that it will add flights to Washington D.C. on January 21, 2009.
The carrier said that this was due to an increased demand for services to the capital from travelers who wished to visit D.C. the day after the President-Elect, Barack Obama, is sworn in.
Round-trip flights will be added from Atlanta to Baltimore (Baltimore/Washington) and Washington (Dulles), and between Milwaukee and Baltimore (Baltimore/Washington).
Kevin Healy, Senior Vice-President of Marketing and Planning for AirTran Airways, said: "We've had tremendous requests for flights to Washington D.C. during the period surrounding the presidential inauguration and we want to accommodate our customers by adding flights to meet the demand."
