Allegiant Air to Fly Nonstop Between Owensboro and Orlando

Allegiant Air is to start nonstop flights between Owensboro, Kentucky, and Orlando from February 18, 2009.

Maurice J Gallagher Jr, President and Chief Executive of the carrier, said: "We are extremely pleased to expand the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop jet service to the midwestern Kentucky and southern Indiana community.

"This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only nonstop, scheduled air service out of Owensboro."

The new services will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Flights will depart Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport at 9:20am to land at Orlando-Sanford International Airport at 12:20pm.

On the return journey, service will leave Orlando at 7:35am and arrive in Owensboro at 8:40am. All times are local.

Introductory fares start as low as $69, excluding taxes and fees, for one-way travel.
