Delta Air Lines to Begin Atlanta-Cape Town Flights

Delta Air Lines is to start Atlanta to Cape Town, South Africa, flights next year.

The carrier will begin operating on the route from June 2009, three times a week via Dakar, Senegal.

Margaret Copeland, Commercial Manager - South Africa for Delta, said: "We are proud to offer the first scheduled flight linking Cape Town, the commercial hub of the Western Cape, to Atlanta, the commercial hub of the south-eastern United States."

Next year, the carrier will also begin flights from Atlanta to Johannesburg.
