Eat, Drink, and Get Kneaded at Denver International
© Denver International AirportFrom the “Airport as Dwelling Place” file, there’s this. A slew of new shops and eateries just opened at Denver International (DEN), serving a range of things from homemade local tamales to restorative massages. All of the new options are out on Concourses C and D.
We’ve been telling you a lot of late about the preference of passengers for bring-on-board food, as opposed to buy-on-board. Now, add a trio of new options at Denver. Tamales by La Casita is an airport outlet of a local Mexican restaurant. Find it in the Concourse C food court. Caribou Coffee offers java and baked goods. It’s on the Concourse B Mezzanine. Something good for you? Consider a fruit smoothie from Jamba Juice, perhaps a healthy snack. It too is located on the Concourse B Mezzanine.
If you’ve got a bit of time before your flight and feel ill-shod, there’s Johnson & Murphy for handcrafted shoes, belts and such. It’s in the Concourse B Center Core. On the opposite end of the fashion spectrum, get Harley Davidson T-shirts, hats and gear at Mile High Harley Davidson, on the Concourse B Mezzanine.
Air travel can wear you out. To help you arrive in better shape (and get a good rest on the flight) stop by A Massage, Inc. It’s on the Concourse B Mezzanine. Choose from a 45-, 60- or even 90-minute table massage in a private room. Take the massage, then stop by the bar en route to the gate, and there’s little that should bother you aloft.
