Holiday Inn Express’ New New York LaGuardia Option
Flying into New York LaGuardia (LGA) and need a place to rest for the night? After a $5 million makeover, the former Best Western Eden Park Hotel now flies a new flag. It’s the Holiday Inn Express LaGuardia Airport (LGA) (Web site: www.hiexpress.com).
The six-story enclave is a relatively short free shuttle ride from LGA. Nearby are The US Open Tournament, the New York Mets' Citi Field, Corona’s Flushing Meadows, and The World’s Fair Unisphere Park.
The hotel offers a number of services: a fitness, center, corporate business center, gratis high-speed Internet, and free local phone. The latter is no small consideration for a Big Apple hotel.
In room, there are large work desks replete with ergonomic chairs, a refrigerator, and a pair of phone lines. The paper, USA Today, comes with the room.
Before heading out the next morning, Holiday Inn Express serves up sustenance at its Fresh Start breakfast bar – omelets, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fruit and such.
