In Time for Thanksgiving – Ontario Free Phone Lot

Good news for meeters and greeters in the eastern reaches of Los Angeles. Just in time for the Thanksgiving onslaught, Ontario International Airport (ONT) has opened a 24-hour free cell phone waiting lot, a place to sit and wait for folks arriving on inbound flights. They give you a call; you pick them up at the terminal.

The lot means there’s no need to circle endlessly, waiting for a wave from family or friends.

The 100-space lot is now up and running at 1940 East Moore Way. From Interstate 10, take the Vineyard Exit. Remain on Vineyard headed south, across Airport Drive. Follow the road to the left, as the street changes to East More Way. Take East Moore Way to the end of the old Terminal 1 building, and then turn right into the ONT Cell Phone Waiting Lot.

You’re allowed to wait up to an hour in the lot, and you’ll have to stay with your vehicle.

How to get to the terminal area for the cell lot? It’s not far. Exit and drive to the end of the street. Turn right onto Airport Drive. Then, drive about two blocks to Terminal Way. Turn right onto Terminal Way and that will get you to Terminals 2 and 4.
