Raleigh/Durham International’s New Terminal/Airline Match-ups

Now that Raleigh/Durham International Airport’s new Terminal 2 is up and running there’s been a bit of a domino effect across the North Carolina aerodrome. Here’s a rundown as to what’s going on:

First, Terminal A is now called “Terminal 1.” Terminal C is closed altogether.

Operating out of the high-tech haven that is Terminal 2 are Air Canada, American Airlines, American Eagle, United Airlines, United Express, and Charter Express. Delta begins flying out of Terminal 2 on Sunday, November 9. Until then the carrier will continue to operate out of Terminal 1.

As for Terminal 1 tenants, you’ll find Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, US Airways, and discount airlines JetBlue and Southwest flying from there.

There are a lot of neat eateries and shops in newly opened Terminal 2. One favorite of flyers frequenting the Research Triangle is 2nd Edition Book Sellers. Thirsty? Stop in Carolina Ale House with a copy of your favorite read and chill out before the flight.
