United Airlines and American Cancer Society Partner on Children's Program

United Airlines has partnered with the American Cancer Society (Web site: www.cancer.org) to help raise funds for the charity's children's program.

All contributions, in mileage or money, from travelers will go towards sending Maye I. Hugyou, a teddy bear, to children undergoing treatment for the disease.

Contributions are being accepted throughout December and the teddy bears are to be delivered by United employees to hospitals around the U.S. in February 2009.

Sonya Jackson, President of United Airlines Foundation, said: "During difficult economic times, it is more important than ever to support the organizations that deliver critical services to those most in need."
