Continental Offers Frankfurt Flights from Houston

Travelers looking for flights to Frankfurt will soon have another airline option to price out: Continental Airlines announced it's non-stop flights from Houston to Frankfurt (FRA) will start next November, pending government approval.

Right now, Texas travelers en route to Frankfurt have one option from Houston:a non-stop daily flight from Lufthansa. Continental Airlines intends to launch daily non-stop service from its hub at Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Frankfurt on November 1, 2009.

CO plans to fly Frankfurt passengers on a twin-jet Boeing 767-200, an airplane fitted with 25 Business First and 149 economy seats. Lufthansa’s larger, four-engined 747-400 is a three-class craft: first, business, and economy.

If the route gets the green light, Frankfurt will become Continental’s fourth European city served out of Houston. CO already offers flights to London (LHR), Paris (CDG), and Amsterdam (AMS) nonstop.
