Delta adds flights for Masters Week
Delta Air Lines is adding extra flights between select U.S. destinations for Masters Week next year.
The carrier will add up to 7,000 extra seats on services between Augusta, where the tournament will be held, and Atlanta, New York LaGuardia and New York JFK.
Masters Week runs from April 5 to 13 2009, and Delta is offering special fares on these extra flights.
Sample prices include flights from Augusta to New York LaGuardia for $89 and to Atlanta for $99. These prices are one-way and are based on a roundtrip purchase.
Bob Cortelyou, Senior Vice-President of Network Planning for Delta, said: "When you talk about the Masters, no airline is better positioned to carry fans from around the world to this premier sporting event than Delta.
"Delta offers customers the most convenient year-round access to Augusta with more daily seats to and from Augusta Regional Airport than any other airline.
"And during the Masters, Delta is pleased to strengthen its commitment to Augusta with a 50 percent increase in seat capacity compared to last year."
