Discount Airfare: LAX-Toyko Flights on Sale

Everything’s relative, including the price of a business class seat.

If you can grab a round-trip transpacific seat up front for less than $5,000, it’s a deal. So travelers looking for Los Angeles flights to Tokyo should jump on Korean Air's airfare sale.

From now until Aug. 31, 2009, KE is offering round-trip Prestige Class (business class) seats between Los Angeles (LAX) and Tokyo Narita (NRT) for $4,710 – exclusive of taxes and fees.

There are no minimum stay requirements or blackout dates to contend with, but the $4,710 discount airfare applies to weekday travel only. If you want to travel Friday through Sunday, you’ll pay upwards of $1,000 more. Weekends are prime time for international travel, and it appears Korean is trying to boost off-peak flying up front.

As with all good things, seats are limited at this discount airfare, and you’ll have to book Flights KE002/KE001 when booking your Tokyo flights.
