Family-Friendly Security Lanes Open at Tampa
The powers-that-be in Tampa heard the call from family travelers and a new security lane specifically for families has opened.
Tampa (TPA) is one of the most traversed airports in the nation and a hot-spot among families and vacationers. Tampa travelers flock to the area in droves during the winter season, and now the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has made travel to Tampa just a bit easier.
Families flying through Tampa will get a bit of a break when clearing security. The TSA has organized security lanes by Expert, Casual, and Family/Medical Liquids.
If you’re traveling with small children in strollers, in a group, need assistance, have more than three ounces of medically-necessary liquid of baby formula, or simply are new to flying then look for the green circle logo and get in line.
Security passage has eased of late at TPA. "Currently, Tampa’s [peak hour] screening wait times are among the shortest when compared to other Large Hub Airports in the United Sates,” asserts Louis. E. Miller, the airport’s executive director. Miller says there are 27 lanes arrayed among a quartet of separate locations.
